Mercedes-Benz 500 SLC

During the 1960s Mercedes-Benz began development of a line of sports cars which were characterized by high performance and also great attention to aspects of motoring that would meet the requirements of the expanding "luxury" car market sector. The acronym SL (Sport and Leicht), identifies the various models that over the years have evolved and been presented to the market. In the 1970s, the German automotive group launched the R107 and C107 series in the Roadster and Coupé versions, which went on to quickly achieve notable commercial success. Arising from the C107, the "top of the range" coupé SLC 500 evolved, the production of which, lasted for almost a decade. With a 4973cc engine capable of delivering 237 HP the Mercedes SLC 500 became a benchmark for the "premium" market, which in the 1970s, also saw the origin of some iconic models, which even now, capture the imagination and dreams of many collector and classic car enthusiasts.

追加安全帶

B柱和C柱修改,並且將大型透明套件改良

輪框改用AMG的經典大餅框

由於變成開門作法後,駕駛側後照鏡有點偏移,所以離原版樣貌有點脫節

整體車色彩亮銀色金屬光澤,加上修長車身線條流暢,搭配內裝的紅色座椅與銀色車身的對比更是引人注目,突顯了豪華感。

Modifications made to the Mercedes-Benz SLC model:

  • Doors made operable: The car doors can now open.
  • Magnetic locks for doors: Added magnets to ensure doors close securely.
  • Hood adjustments: The hood can now be opened, and its edges were refined for better fitment.
  • Windshield washer outlets: Redesigned the washer outlets on the hood.
  • Engine bay detailing: Enhanced details including the radiator, wiring, battery, and horn.
  • Light fixtures: Added lamp bases for both the headlights and taillights.
  • Dashboard improvements: Corrected and detailed the instrument panel.
  • Center console revision: Refined the central control area.
  • Air vents: Updated and corrected the air conditioning vents.
  • Seats adjustments: Slight modifications to the seating.
  • Seatbelts added: Included seatbelt details for a realistic touch.
  • B-pillars and C-pillars: Modified and improved the large transparent parts in this area.
  • Wheels: Replaced the wheels with the classic AMG monoblock rims.
  • Driver-side mirror adjustment: The door-opening functionality caused slight displacement of the driver-side mirror, resulting in a deviation from the original design.

Overall aesthetic:
The car features a bright metallic silver body color with a sleek, streamlined silhouette. The striking contrast between the silver exterior and red seats in the interior amplifies the sense of luxury and elegance.

雖然能開啟車門,但是A柱下方儀表板邊緣內襯沒有辦法做得跟真車一樣,因為這點非常困難。起初沒打算做成活動開車門的,是因為這台車車門沒有窗框,非常適合作活動車門才去改造,

也利用此機會去磨練出高度專業與創造力。

English Translation:

Although the car doors can be opened, the inner lining at the edge of the dashboard below the A-pillar could not be made to resemble the real car due to the complexity of such detailing. Initially, I had not planned to create functional doors, but because this car’s doors lack window frames, it became an ideal candidate for modification into operable doors.

This project also provided an opportunity to hone advanced skills and unleash creativity to a high degree.
